The CMI-PROMEX, Inc. expansion rail set features a
fabricated design from forged and rolled steel products. The
system features large expansion capablities and long service
life. The sliding rail in made from new heat treated rail. It is machined on one side and bent to a large radius. The fixed rail is also made from rail. It is machined to match the radius of the sliding rail and is rigidly fastened to the base plate with high strength bolts. The baseplate is a fabricated design with an integral guard rail. The top surface is machined with the 1:40 cant toward the gage side. The sliding rail is held in position against the fixed rail by rail braces which are set with a small clearance to allow for movement. All bolting is accessible from the top for easy maintenance. This expansion set can be used in any rail application and is available for any weight of rail. |
