How to Order Replacement Riders:

1. Refer to the drawing package you received when you purchased your rider assembly. If you cannot locate your drawing package, simply call us at 1-800-381-5808 and we will send you a new digital copy free of charge.

2. Determine which part you need, and whether it is a left-handed part or a right-handed part.

How to determine left- and right-handedness of parts

For CMI-Promex, Inc. rail systems, left- and right-handedness is determined from the center of the bridge, and is denoted by the last letter of the part number. Here’s what to do:

• Stand at the center of the bridge.
• Turn toward the part that needs replacing.
• If the part is on your left, it is a left-handed part. If the part is on your right, it is a right-handed part.

For example, using the diagram below, assume you need to replace the lift rail and the rail plate circled in red.

You would stand in the center of the bridge and face the lift rail you want to replace. You know that it is a left-handed lift rail, because it is on your left side. You would therefore request part LR1L: Lift Rail 1 Left.

You would then turn around and face the rail plate you want to replace. The rail plate is now on your right side, so it is a right-handed rail plate. You would therefore request part RP2R: Rail Plate 2 Right.

  • Your company information and the PO number from your RIDEX® track set order as a reference. If the PO is not available, please provide the bridge name, what waterway it is over, the milepost, and location (see diagram below).
  • The drawing number from the original installation, which can be found in the lower right corner of the drawing package (see diagram below).
  • The quantities you require.
