The RIDEX® miter rail system (also known as the Rider Rail System) brings you:
Patented Design. Fixed rails and lift rails are machined from lengths of new rail. Train wheels transition seamlessly from the fixed rail to the lift rail by means of a “rider rail.” The rider rail is slightly lower than the running rail at its ends, and slightly higher than the running rail at its center. This gentle radius serves to smoothly carry the train wheel over the gap between the rails. The rider rail is bolted to the fixed rail and remains stationary.

Expansion Capabilities. The gap between the lift and fixed rails is generally set at several inches, depending on bridge configuration and temperature. The expansion capabilities are significant, allowing several inches of movement.
Simple Maintenance. RIDEX® miter rails for moveable bridges are created from head-hardened rail and heat-hardened steel: stronger and more durable than the typical manganese-cast systems. The RIDEX® products therefore require little maintenance and, with the patented RIDEX® system, any rails that become worn over time can be replaced by a two-man crew with a wrench and a cart in approximately 30 minutes – saving you the cost of replacing the entire track set up, lessening the number of man-hours needed to make the replacement, and minimizing track-outage time.
